The Spanish Flute
Asociation (Asociación de Flautistas de España – AFE) wants to
welcome all Spanish flutists and, also, flutists from all around the
world that, like us, have given the flute an important place in
their lives.
We want AFE to be a meeting point and a link among all of us
(teachers, students, professional musicians and flute enthusiasts)
to share, everything related to the development of our instrument in
Spain.
This new project follows the spirit of previous ideas and it also
intends to continue with existent ones that, fortunately, are
actually active in different parts of Spain. Our objective is to be
an open and dynamic entity that concentrates ideas and projects from
everybody to share them in a common forum.
Shortly, we will have some important tools to do this: a web, a
magazine and a convention once a year (with concerts, master
classes, conferences, new publications and expositions of new
instruments). These tools will let all of the flutists from Spain
and from all around the world to share different ideas and
experiences.
We encourage all of you to associate with AFE to achieve these aims,
because we want to make this project yours and because together we
can follow a common direction. This direction was just begun by
other countries some years ago and they established the grounds to
make us, and also future flutists’ generations of Spain, to enjoy
our most important passion: The Flute.
